Advancing God’s Kingdom together with partnering local churches and organisations along the coastline of South Africa. In partnering with local churches, we develop connections with the surfer, providing opportunities to reach the unreached through building relationships.

CSSA support the local church by sharing its experience and resources. This could take the form of mentoring and leadership development or training of surf chaplaincy outreach groups. Additionally, CSSA provide support to empower and equip partners to reach and disciple surfers and helping them grow their life-long relationship with Jesus.

  • run a grom contest, run a surf camp and share gospel,
  • start a surfing interest group or life group (once a month or more)
  • start a bible study for surfers
  • start an outreach group
  • learn how to share the Gospel through personal surfing
  • use the “On The Rocks” video series to introduction to the gospel

If someone feels called to launch an initiative in the local church, CSSA supports by hosting an equipping event through the CSALT Intensive program. This program offers a surf and skate discipleship activation that lasts a weekend or week (depending on the group, the need and the available resources). Depending on the time of year, this could also include serving at a local event.

CSALT Intensive sessions primarily takes place in Jbay, but based on local demand and logistics, we can present this program anywhere.

The Resource Centre on our website is available to grow capacity inhouse. Resources are used to connect with the surf community, share Jesus, start and run local groups and be equipped.
